CryptoTipX Onboarding: From Device to Protocol Participation
CryptoTipX onboarding is a one-time handshake between a human and a protocol. A frictionless way to activate a gratitude node and route cultural value in seconds.
Step 1: Receiving the Device
• Each NFC/QR device is embedded with a unique encrypted ID.
• Printed instruction: “Scan to activate your gratitude profile.”
• Devices remain dormant (“Unclaimed”) until linked to a user.
Step 2: First Scan → Validation Layer
• First scan checks authenticity: unclaimed, untampered, valid.
• If claimed or invalid: user is guided to secure contact flow.
Step 3: Seamless Onboarding
User enters:
- Display name and optional avatar
- Connects wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect)
- Optional selfie/KYC if regionally required
- Accepts Terms
Device becomes permanently bound to wallet via encrypted handshake.
Step 4: Protocol Connection Activated
Wallet is now:
- Destination for all tip flows (fiat → USDC → CryptoTipX)
- Interface for dashboard views and redemptions
- Permanently linked to device ID and usage record
Step 5: Gratitude Dashboard
Real-time data layer shows:
- Total received tips
- Daily averages and top sources
- Redemption history
- Live device status (Active / Dormant / Lost)
Step 6: Lost or Replaced Devices
• User marks device as Lost from dashboard
• Device is instantly disabled, tips cannot route
• New device issued and linked to same wallet upon verification (email + wallet + selfie)
• Re-activation occurs with same protocol ID
Step 7: Compliance & Lifecycle Management
Admin systems monitor:
- Activation density by region
- Top active nodes
- Compliance audit logs
- Tax-report-friendly interaction summaries
