Thoughts of a Dreamer: Breaking Into the “Decentralized” — World When Decentralization Became an Illusion !!
Crypto was supposed to be freedom a decentralized ecosystem where anyone with vision, talent, and hard work could build and succeed without gatekeepers.
A world where merit ruled over money, and ideas, not connections, determined the future.
But look around: The game has changed.
The big players are set.
The rules are known.
The paths are defined.
If you want to make it, you have to go through them. And so, the very thing crypto promised to break, centralized control — is exactly what it has become.
The Death of True Crypto
There was a time when a great idea could change everything. When Bitcoin, Ethereum, and the early projects were built by believers, not hedge funds. When communities, not corporate interests, decided a project’s worth.
That time is gone.
Today, it doesn’t matter how good your project is. It doesn’t matter how much work you put in. It doesn’t matter if your vision could change the world. If you don’t play the game, you don’t stand a chance.
•VC rounds upon VC rounds.
•Launchpads that take more than they give.
•Advisors who “advise” nothing but demand equity.
•Regulations that kill innovation while pretending to protect.
•A never-ending cycle of fundraising, compliance, and controlled access. Crypto wasn’t supposed to be Wall Street, yet it has become no different.
The Pay-to-Win Reality of Crypto “Investing”
Even the investors have changed. Once, they were pioneers, risk-takers, visionaries. Now? They are followers — waiting for someone else to tell them what’s good.
VCs? They won’t even look at your project unless you’ve been approved by their network.
Launchpads? They want tokens, upfront fees, and control before even considering you.
Retail investors? They’re brainwashed into following “investment parameters”, a set of arbitrary checkboxes designed to favor those already in power.
And influencers? Let’s talk about influencers — the new-age gatekeepers of this so-called “decentralized world”.
They charge thousands just to mention a project. They talk for two minutes, pretending to understand your vision.
They never care about the project itself, only about the check you write. How in the world do you summarize one year of hard work in a two-minute script spoken by someone who won’t even use the product?
You don’t.
You just play along, or you get left behind.
A System That Was Built to Keep You Out The sad truth?
The barriers are deliberate.
The system is designed to make sure that only those who conform, who compromise, who surrender, make it through.
Decentralization was supposed to be a revolution.
Instead, it became a business model — and one controlled by the same forces crypto was built to disrupt.
A dreamer today? You don’t stand a chance.
Not unless you’re willing to fight differently.
Not unless you’re willing to ignore the rules.
Not unless you’re willing to build for the people, not the system.
Because the system doesn’t want you. And that’s exactly why you need to win without it.
So, What’s Next?
The ones who truly change the game don’t play by its rules.
The ones who break through?
They find new ways in.
The question is : Are you ready to do that? Or will you keep knocking on doors that were never meant to open for you?
